Brothers Claude and Hervé Muzard are the ninth generation to manage this family domaine that dates to 1645!  Muzard's wines portray an elegant style, bolstered by refreshing acidity due to the cooler site.  Aged 11 months in half steel and half oak (30% new), followed by a final rest on the lees for a few months before bottling. This classic Meursault has tension with well-integrated notes of yellow apple and underripe stone fruit, and just enough of the tempered richness you expect from Meursault.

Grape: Chardonnay from a .75 hectare plot planted in three parts in 2001, 1988 and 1935. 

Terroir: Stony clay soils in the cool microclimate of les Meix Chavaux near the border of Auxey-Duresses.
