Boulay 'La Côte,' Sancerre, France 2020 MAGNUM

The Boulay family owns nine hectares in the famed Sancerre village of Chavignol.  Gerard Boulay, who runs the winemaking today, works by instinct or “au feeling”; he wants to “let the wine live” and tries not to interfere with the natural process of vine and grape. His parcel in “La Grande Côte,” partially owned and partially rented, is one of three designated Crus of Chavignol and is reputed to produce incredible precision wines.
