Domaine Chave is one of the oldest names in the wine world, with production dating back to 1481. Now at the 16th generation of the family to continue the legendary name in the Rhone Valley. The Chave family began cultivating vineyards and making wine in what we now know as the St. Joseph appellation in the northern Rhone and started buying land on the Hill of Hermitage in 1865 and today they're the authority for the region. Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage is the benchmark for Syrah worldwide.
