Albert Mann 'Outrevin' Chasselas, Vin d'Alsace, France 2020
There is no fancy story here, just a domaine steeped in rich history here in Alsace, farming organically since 1997. A perfect example of the grape Chasselas, floral on nose, along with nutty and mineral accents. This is quite a vinous wine. As it opens, notes of tangerine under a robe of lemon oil waft from the glass. There is more to this wine than meets the eye, let it open and grab yourself some cheese & rye.
Pairing: Raclette, Spätzle with bacon and Fromage blanc, Braised stuffed cabbage
Grapes: Chasselas, 50 year old vines in Keintzheim
Soil: Pink Sandstone
