Alzinger 'Durnstein', Grüner Veltliner, Federspiel, Wachau, Austria 2021
This wine is for those who love classic Wachau. Alzinger has long been a staple of the region and we're big fans of their Gruners and Rieslings.
Spontaneously fermented in stainless steel. Elevage in steel with a small amount of neutral Austrian oak. Inviting and lively, often stone fruit with a herbaceous note, delicate, and subtle texture.
Pairing: White asparagus, egg dishes, smoked trout and salmon, tartars
Grape: Grüner Veltliner
Soil: clay mixed with gneiss, mica schist, & loam
