Before you read any further, think Haut Brion Blanc, Chateau Musar & Fiorano....oh yes. Nichon Blanc is a blend of 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, old vine and own rooted planted in the cool sandy soil of the Eastern area of the Barossa Valley, known as the Vine Vale. Richard and Carla Bett’s desire to make this wine is based on their love of what old Semillon can do after a few years in bottle: super nutty, honeyed, herbal notes on the nose paired with an insanely textural palate.
Pairing: Roasted Vegetable with butter, foods with a hint of spice, shellfish
Grapes: 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc
