Pelizzatti Perego family has been running AR.PE.PE, a picturesque property, within far north Lombardy, tucked into the hillsides of the Rhaetian Alps & the Orobie Mountains, for 5 generations. Vineyards here are steeply terraced and unaccessible via mechanization. The family continues to craft aromatic and nuanced Nebbiolo from these extreme vineyard locations. Rocce Rosse is a brooding wine with notes of alpine herbs, crushed leaves & red fruits. The tannins are fine and granular & the acid is bright, bringing structure and finish to this exciting bottling.
