Berthaut-Gerbet 'Les Clos' Fixin, Burgundy 2018
Berthaut is not a new winery, but one that is on its 7th generation with Amélie Berthaut at the helm. After school in Bordeaux, a stint a Domaine de la Tour du Bon, in Bandol, and Dunn in California, she returned home to take over the family domaine in 2013. The wines are expressive and exciting. These wines are a great discovery and Amélie is a true talent here in Burgundy. Black cherry, subtle red fruits, a hint of earth and baking spice.

Grape: Pinot Noir, Planted in 1933, 1955, 1979, 1987, 2005, Les Clos is close to Couchey, mid slope
