Near the village of Tarrabuccetta, outside of Figari on the southern tip of Corsica, Yves Canarelli is championing the restoration of native Corsican varieties. This wine is the work of 20 plus years of Canarelli replanting the vineyards with its ancient native grapes that for years were substituted by International grapes. Truly the land of Canarelli’s dreams, his Tarra di Sognu, as they say in Bonifacio. This wine drinks with the structure of a well made Burgundy. The flavor is far more exotic with notes of yellow flowers, green orchard fruits, and ripe pineapple, while the minerality dances across your palate & tingles the senses.
