Near the village of Tarrabuccetta, outside of Figari on the southern tip of Corsica, Yves Canarelli is championing the restoration of native Corsican varieties. This wine is the work of 20 plus years of Canarelli replanting the vineyards with its ancient native grapes that for years were substituted by international grapes. The Tarra d'Orasi is an extremely rare and unusual bottling from Canarelli’s tour de force. The vines are over 140 years old, a pre-phylloxera white field blend. The ancient vines yield a wine of epic depth and concentration, filled with the Corsican spirit. It is remarkably refined given its wild nature.
