Clos Cibonne 'Cuvée Prestige Caroline' Rosé, Côtes de Provence, France 2020
Clos Cibonne is located 800 meters from the coast. An estate with a great history, formerly being owned by a marine captain to Louis XVI. In 1979 the Roux family purchased the land and brought the estate to its fame. Clos Cibonne’s Cuvée Prestige Caroline stands uniquely apart from other rosés as a classic, one-of-a-kind Côtes de Provence rosé featuring the Tibouren grape in the lead role, with Grenache and Syrah. Caroline is a limited cuvée named for Claude and Brigitte’s daughter, a selection made exclusively of specific plots from the estate’s over 40-year-old organic Tibouren grapes planted on calcareous clay and schist and fermented in 300L barrels. Like the other Cibonne Cuvées, Caroline has the structure to improve in bottle for up to a decade or more.
