With vineyard planted on steep slopes overlooking the town of Freterive in the French Alp, Domaine des Ardoisières certainly creates a picturesque identity.  It is in fact just that.  This is the quintessential Savoie wine.  Crisp and pure, slightly creamy and the palate, bursting with citrus and alpine freshness. A perfect wine to impress the unimpressed.  Argile Blanc comes from west facing 40-year-old vines of Jacquere, Chardonnay and Mondeuse Blanche. This is aged for 9 months in 1/3 old barriques and 2/3 in tank.  Think Chablis on a ski lift.
