A display of what this less-known corner of Burgundy is capable of producing Domonique Lafon is one of the most recognizable names in Burgundy. He is the first winemaker in the Côte d'Or to head south to the Mâcconais for more land. In 2006, he appointed longtime apprentice Caroline Gon as head winemaker of the domaine, who delivers laser pure chardonnays from a region that is often overlooked.
