This wine is a blend of their Bel-Air and Clardy parcels, both of which have different variants on limestone - the former is more rocky and the later with a higher percentage of chalk. It's no surprise that the resulting wine is bracingly mineral. A mixture of old barrels, foudre and enamel-lined tanks to raise the wine in keeps things sharply cut. As usual, there is plenty of detail, precision and edge, but not lacking in fruit - crisp apple, ripe pear and salty lemon.
