A staunch defendant of everything Corsican ad biodynamic viticulture, Jean-Charles Abbatucci is producing some of the best wines on this wild and remote island. Abbatucci is as ubiquitous to the region as his wines. His heritage dates back to the French Revolution; in the capital city of Ajaccio it’s hard to go anywhere without seeing the Abbatucci name, whether on monuments, street corners or in wine bars. Faustine blanc is 40 year old Vermentinu vines. The color is pale with gold reflections and a nose of white flowers and wet stream. The palate is jumping with notes of lemon oil, a persistent mineral driven notes and a bit of Provençal herbs. This tasted like the cleanest ocean you have ever been to.
