Domaine La Manarine, located in the Southern Rhône just northeast of Orange, is run by Gilles Gasq. This is a fresh Côtes du Rhône rouge for everyday drinking, produced from the younger vines of the estate which average 35 years old. Medium-bodied, spicy and red-fruited, with herbal notes reminiscent of Rhône's 'garrigue' shrublands. The Grenache is fully destemmed and undergoes some three weeks of maceration and fermentation.  After nearly two years of aging in the cellar, the final wine is bottled unfiltered.
