Virginie Moreau-Naudet has been in charge of this small domaine for the past five years, following in the footsteps of her husband's dream for what this winery could be. Stéphane was a devotee to the likes of Vincent Dauvissat, Didier Dagueneau, and Nadi Foucault of Clos Rougeard, leaving no doubt that these wines are textural, mineral-driven and the Chablis you have been looking for your whole life. From a one-hectare parcel of 50-year-old vines within the lieu-dit Chapelot, Moreau-Naudet's Montée de Tonnerre is consistently their most mineral driven wine. The soils are sandy with a rocky topsoil and rich in Kimmeridgian limestone. Tangy, lifted, and energetic are how these wines drink. 2021 Chablis is rocky and mineral, like in 2010 & 2017.
