A historic property that still making profound and thought provoking wines covering 11.52 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Corton-Charlemagne. Bussière was acquired by the Roumier family in 1953, the Clos de la Bussière is located just over the border from Chambolle. It has been a monopole since the 12th century and is encircled to this day by its original Cistercian wall. This wine will give great reward with time in the cellar.
Grape: Pinot Noir, 35 year old vines
Soil: very rocky subsoil covered in iron-rich clay
Vinification: Hand-harvested and sorted, 75% destemmed, punchdowns during fermentation, all natural yeasts, 16 months in 15% new oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered
