Dominique Belluard, has been working his family's domaine in Ayze since 1988. He was particularly drawn to Gringet, a white variety found only in Ayze that was nearly extinct. Dominique expanded his family's plantings through selection massale and has spent the past couple decades becoming the master of Gringet and showing the world its potential in Ayze's terroir. Les Alpes is always fresh, aromatic in a very delicate way. From grapes grown at 350 meters above sea level and just 30 kilometers from Mont Blanc! Sadly, Dominique left this earth in 2021. This is Dominique's last vintage that he oversaw from beginning to the end. The last he bottled himself. Everything else that comes after will be blended and bottled by someone else. His wines are some of the most sought after in the region.
