Rosalind set out to create her own wine in 2018, after traveling the world working harvest at other likeminded cellars. Today she's calls northern California home. When she's not working on her own label she holds the position of assistant winemaker to Pax Wines. We are very excited about these wines. The palate is full of raspberry accompanied with tart & zippy acidity. There is a lovely purity & honesty here.
Viticulture: Organic, dry farmed
Winemaking: The Zinfandel for 'Lilian Ruth' is foot crushed and left to ferment in an open-top bin. After two days on skins, a portion of the juice was drained into two stainless steel barrels where it continued to ferment to dryness. The wine was then racked off heavy lees into two neutral oak barrels, where it was left to age for 5 months. This partial skin contact Zinfandel was then bottled separately.
