Flâneur Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2022

Flâneur is a fairly new winery headed by Grant Coulter, formerly of Beaux Freres, who is crafting thoughtful and pure wines from some of the best sites in Willamette Valley. Sourced from just two estates in the Chehalem Valley and Ribbon Ridge AVAs, which are both organic and dry-farmed. Hand-harvested grapes are partially de-stemmed (30% whole cluster), and the wine is aged in oak barrels of which 1/3 are new. The palate shows intensity of fruit, perfume, spice, and neatly polished tannin.

Pairing: Mushrooms en croute, Grilled pork tenderloin with cherry reduction

Grape: Pinot Noir (820ft Above Sea Level)

Soil: Volcanic Jory and Nekia

Viticulture: Deep Root Coalition - Dry farmed and Organic
