Domaine Gagnard-Delagrange was created in 1959 with the marriage of Jacques Gagnard to Marie-Josèphe Delagrange. After the death of Jacques Gagnard in 2009, the domaine retained 7.4 acres of vineyards and continues to be run by Jacque’s widow, Marie-Josèphe, and their grandson, Marc-Antonin Blain. The domaine has a small plot in the Grand Cru, Bâtard-Montrachet, on the Chassange side. These wines tend to be a bit more dense and powerful than they would be coming from the Puligny soils. Gagnard-Delagrange 50% New barrel is employed on these wines. This wine is full of exotic fruit, pineapple, linear minerality and great structure.
