In 2005, Giuseppe Russo found Girolamo Russo. A property in Passopisciaro on 25 hectares of land, planted to mostly 80 year old bush vines of Nerello Mascalese as well a hazelnut and olive groves. This is wine of medium body, exotic fruits, pineapple, pear & a slight phenolic quality but loaded with mineral driven freshness.
