The Grosjean family has root here in the Vallée d'Aoste to village of Fornet, in the high mountain passes of the Valle d’Aosta, known as Valgrisenche where they raised cattle.  Today they farm 7ha of vines, of all indigenous varieties.  Prëmetta almost looks as though it is a rosé, the color of the grape skins are quite light.  This light red gives off pretty floral aromas with alpine herbs.  Perfect with a plate of prosciutto.
