The Canary Islands is home to some very exciting and thought provoking wineries. Juan Francisco Fariña Peréz is making lovely wines at high elevation vineyards, some the highest in all of Europe, ranging between 700 - 1200 meters above sea level.  The vineyards are spread across volcanic sand with layers of limestone producing fragrant & fresh wine. This light to mid-bodied red is the perfect mix of minerality, savoriness and just a splash of fruit.  If you like Langhe Nebbiolo, this is right up your alley.
