Julien Sunier, despite growing up in Dijon, was not part of a wine making family. His mother owned a salon and by a fate Cristophe Roumier was one of her clients. Roumier offered him a job. And so began Julien's winemaking path. Julien traveled the world, working in New Zealand and California, making wine and surfing during his free time. In the Spring of 2008, Julien set out on his own to pursue his dream of establishing a domaine more in sync with his own ideas of organic viticulture and natural winemaking. He converted all of these vineyards to organic viticulture, and is intent on spreading the gospel of natural viticulture. Julien's wines have bright, floral and high-tones but with an ethereal texture and a lovely but precise, long finish.
