Transplants from Northern France, Bastien and Céline, struck by the incredibly complex terroirs of the Languedoc and the Roussillon, They set out to find vines of their own, purchasing just over 1 hectare of old vines in 2014. Their focus at La Bancale is to express the domaine’s unique terroirs, and the quality of the Roussillon’s indigenous grape varieties. All grapes are harvested together and co-fermented whole cluster in large neutral vats. After a 6 months aging in stainless-steel tanks before bottling. The wines are bottled un-fined and unfiltered. Light in color, full of brambly red fruits and soft tannin, this is wine is easy going and perfect for an outdoor BBQ.
Grapes: 50% Carignan Noir, 30% Grenache Gris and 20% of various white grapes that includes Macabeu, Carignan Gris and Tourbat.
