La Boutanche Gamay, France 2020
Olivier's La Boutanche Gamay is sourced from his own parcel of 90-year-old, certified organic vines planted in limestone soils in southern Beaujolais. They're fermented whole cluster (no carbonic maceration here) in concrete tanks, pressed, then racked back into the same tanks for élevage. Only a touch of SO2 - 25 ppm - was added at bottling. It's light & chuggable.
