Rodrigo Mendez is committed to preserving to integrity of the Albariño grape variety, letting the fruit hang a little longer on the vine to fully develop until harvest. He is based in the most coastal sub-zone of the region, Val do Salnes, where the grape originated. His wines are full of character and flavor, lemon, ginger, white flowers, with a weight on the mid palate that leaves you longing for your next sip. Perfect for scallops, oysters and shellfish.
Soil: Granite and Sand
Viticulture: No sprays and allows for biodiversity in the vineyard, the same way his grandparents treated the vineyards.
