This wine is unique in so many ways – where to begin! Firstly, this wine comes from the smallest wine region in Italy and this vineyard is located between four of Europe’s highest peaks: Matterhorn, Gran Paradiso, Monte Rosa and Mont Blanc. Secondly, this region is at an elevation of 1200 meters above sea level – making it an extreme viticultural area, not only is it the highest viticultural area in Europe but the region pushes the limits of vine survival. The distinctive terroir shapes this wine. Delicate wild flowers lead to juicy pear and yellow apple.
Grape: Prie Blanc
Pairing: Crab salad with fresh fennel & herbs atop endive
