Marnes Blanches 'En Quarte Vis', Savagnin, Côtes du Jura, France 2020
There is a reason Géraud and Pauline are amongst the rising stars of the Jura. Their wines continue to excel and every new release is outstanding. This cuvée is made from grapes grown in Cesancey on the wineries eponymous white marl soils. Planted in 1958, they’re some of the oldest vines under their care. The grapes were whole-cluster pressed into neutral barrel for fermentation and an eleven-month élevage. The wine is racked and bottled without SO2.
