Mezcalosfera is a boutique mezcal producer and brand that focuses on small-batch, artisanal mezcal, celebrating traditional production methods and honoring the diverse terroir of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is a project under the umbrella of Mezcaloteca, a highly respected mezcalería and collective that curates a wide variety of mezcals. Mezcalosfera specializes in sourcing unique, limited-edition mezcals produced by small-scale mezcaleros using traditional, often ancestral methods.
Only 60 liters of this mezcal were produced. Designed with the traditional Mexican 'Dia de Muertos' in mind, and distilled 3 times with cinnamon and calabaza offers a unique and aromatic flavor profile, perfect for complementing the many autumn flavors, aromas and traditions. On the nose is both spicy and sweet, with pronounced notes of cinnamon, layered with vegetal and earthy aromas from the calabaza and the agave. The cinnamon adds a warm, fragrant spiciness, while the calabaza brings a subtle, nutty undertone. On the palate, the mezcal has a complex combination of flavors. The Espadín agave contributes classic earthy, and slightly smoky notes, balanced by the sweetness and warmth of the cinnamon. The calabaza adds depth with its soft, slightly savory, and roasted flavors. This unique combination creates a rounded mouthfeel, with a delightful mix of spice and agave richness. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering cinnamon spice and a gentle smoky aftertaste.
