Michel Couvreur 'Intravagan'za' Cask Strength Whisky France, NV

Michel Couvreur 'Intravagan'za' Cask Strength Whisky France, NV
A powerful & warming whisky from the infamous Michel Couvreur. Michel was a Belgium man in the wine trade with an admiration for Scotch. In 1978 he built himself a cellar in Bouze-lès-Beaune, basically the middle of Burgundy, and began production. His focus was on the grains but more importantly the cask. After his passing in 2013, his loyal cellar-hand and confident, Jean-Arnaud Frantzen took charge along with his son in law Cyril Deschamps. As a 2-3 year whisky, this is oily and round with a sense of maturity. The heat is well integrated lending to woody & nutty notes along with dried fruits and prunes.
