Nathan K. Extra Brut, Finger Lakes, New York 2017
This is Nathan K.'S first methode traditionelle Extra Brut. This new adventure is also a path for him to grow his own varietals, predominately Chardonnay with a little bit of Pinot Blanc that he will plant in 2 years in a new land he purchased this year (3 acres) right near Seneca Lake. The goal is to solely craft sparkling wine.
The label was created by his friend Ryan Trice. This is a blend of 72% Chardonnay, 26% Pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Blanc, coming from a vineyard composed of Honeoye silt loam, facing East, with vines between the ages of 24-45 years. The wine was aged for 11 months in neutral barrels, bottled on 8/30/2017 and after being hand riddled disgorged on 9/8/21 with 2gr of dosage. Only 654 bottles produced.
Grapes: Charodnnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc
