The Kühn estate remains a family-operated winery currently run by 11th-generation winemakers Peter Jakob, his wife Angela, and their son Peter Bernhard. The estate ranges across three superb vineyard sites in the Rheingau. This little wine, the Trocken Jacobus, is a blend of all the Kühn holdings. It is rich in aromatics, presenting citrus, green apple, yellow plum, and apricot notes. The palate is dry with a good balance of weight and acidity, followed by a long, citrus-tinged finish—a lovely, delicate, and excellent Riesling.

Pairing: Go to Wu's Wonton King right now.

Grape: Riesling

Soil: Quartzite, clay-marl, loess
