Considered one of Burgundy’s top producers. His choice to use larger demi-muid barrels and eschew the use of battonnage, makes each one of his bottlings a clear expression of its terroir and a study in mineral-driven wines. This is not only one of the top domaines in Chassagne, this is one of the great winemakers and domaines in the world. Vines are 65 plus years old from four Lieut- Dits: en Journoblot, Les beetles, les Houllieres and Fontaine Sot. Fermented with Indigenous yeast and aged in 350L barrels for 16 months (25% new oak) plus 3 months in tanks.
