Plaisance-Penavayre 'Bouysselet' Blanc, France 2020
Located in Vacquiers, in southwestern France, where Mark Penavayre cultivates indigenous grapes organically with minimal amounts of sulfur added during the winemaking process. Bouysselet comes from the Haute-Garonne region, Fronton wine-growing region of France. It is an extremely promising local white variety that was rediscovered only a few years ago on a small patch of pre-phylloxera vines. Its parents are Savagnin (Jura) and Plant de Cauzette (Béarn).
