Roagana is one of Barolo and Barbaresco's top winemakers. While this may not be their Barolo or Barbaresco, their Barbera is coming from Pira, one of the top crus in Castiglione Falleto. This wine is vinified like a Barolo -- minimum 30-60 days contact with the skins with a submerged cap, aged five years in botte - French and Slavonian. A dark and brooding wine with notes of cherry, raspberries & earth.
