Vino di Anna 'Vendredi 13' Vino Rosso, Sicily, Italy 2021

Vino di Anna 'Vendredi 13' Vino Rosso, Sicily, Italy 2021
Anna Martens, a Southern Australia native, travelled the globe working for wineries in some of the most beautiful regions that grapes are grown. She finally arrived in Italy, where she met her husband, Eric Narico, owner of an importing company in the UK. They were both in love with the terroir of Sicily and found a perfect place to start their winery. They now own 2 hectares of old alberello (bush) vines, most of which are Nerello Mascalese, but also including other varieties such as Nerello Cappuccio, Grecianco and Carricante. The vineyards are at altitude (760-900metres) and are farmed organically. Their Vino Rosso is intensely juicy, stimulating, refreshing, very delicate and with a subtle aromatic palette.
Grape: 90% Nerello Mascalese, 5% Nerello Cappuccio/ Alicante (grenache) and about 5% white indigenous Etnean grapes (Grecanico, Minnella Bianca and Carricante).
Soil: Volcanic
Viticulture: Organic
