While Hirtzberger, Peter Veyder-Malberg, and Knoll are known for producing delicious classic white wines in Wachau, von der Vogelwaide is making waves in a unique way. Daniel and Michael's Riesling and Gruner have a distinct taste similar to those from Jura & Burgundy, and they even produce red wine, which is rare for the region. This particular blend is a mix of their estate fruit and purchased fruit from their organic grower-partner in Wachau. 

Pairing: Flaky fish with a slight warm Mariniere sauce 

Grapes: Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Müller Thurgau & Frühroter Veltliner

Viticulture: Organic

Soil: Sand and clay soils for these parcels; carbonic maceration on the base wine followed by aging in small neutral barrels for four months. Unfined, unfiltered, 20mg/l SO2 added. Only 500 bottles produced!
