Lemberger, commonly know as Blaufrankish in Austria, is the king of this small region of Rosswag, on the northern part of Swabia, Germany. Here, Lemberger has been planted for decades (perhaps centuries) on shell limestone at about 1,000 feet above sea level. Hannes, a native of Rosswag & Olympia, a native greek, met while studying viticulture, fell in love, travelled the world making wine together and eventually found themselves back at Hannes home. They believe Lemerger has great potential and is a quality grape. Making them the 1% who do not sell to the local co-op!
