Yves Leccia comes from a long history of winemaking. He began tending the vines alongside his father as a young boy. In 2004 he split off from the family domaine to concentrate on a specific place in Patrimonio that he believed had the best soil, called E’Croce. The soil here consists of thin chalk above thick bedrock or pure schist. He works meticulously in the vineyards, keeping low yields and implementing organic viticulture. He has an affinity for the grape Biancu Gentile, an ancient grape native to Corsica. This wine is quintessential Corsica. Oily and luscious yet clean & crisp, teeming with minerals, sunshine, and sensuous complexity. Drink it as Yves does: chilled alongside grilled fish.

Pairing: Octopus, clams, grilled white fish, prawn

Grape: Vermentinu, Biancu Gentile

Soil: thin chalk above thick bedrock or pure schist
