François Rousset-Martin 'Terres Blanches,' Chardonnay, Côtes du Jura, France 2018
Francois Rousset first caught the wine bug growing up in Burgundy, where his father was a microbiologist for the Hospices de Beaune. After earning an enology degree and continuing his journey in the Southern Rhone and Languedoc regions, he returned to his Jurassian roots and 2007 officially launched his winery. The 40-year-old Chardonnay vines for his 'Terres Blanches' Cuvée come from the tiny village of Nervy-sue-Seille. The nose is slightly exotic and savory, while the palate delivers green apples, mineral notes, and appealing florals.
