Chandra Kurt 'Glou Glou' Chasselas, Geneva, Switzerland 2022
Chandra Kurt 'Glou Glou' Chasselas, Geneva, Switzerland 2022
Chasselas is arguably the most iconic white grape of Switzerland, perfectly translating the cool mountainous climate. Chandra Kurt is a famed Swiss wine writer who began cultivating vineyards in the Vaud, Geneve, and Valais regions with biodynamic practices. Grown near the shores of Lake Geneva, the grapes ripen with light reflecting off the waters, while brisk lake breezes promote crisp acidity. The low-intervention elevage is long and kept very cool, resulting in a wine with some luscious qualities and a touch of dissolved CO2. The profile is clean and bright, complemented by notes of lemon and alpine herbs.
