Domaine Comte Abbatucci ‘Monte Bianco,’ Rouge, Vin de France 2021

Jean-Charles Abbatucci is a prominent personality in Ajaccio, with a family history dating back to the French Revolution. His name is visible on various landmarks, street corners, and wine bars in the capital city. Jean-Charles is a passionate supporter of Corsican culture and advocates for biodynamic viticulture. Hence, he is renowned for producing exceptional wines on this remote and rugged island.

This wine has a Pinot Noir-like taste that reflects its origins, with a mineral and granitic essence. It comes from a north-facing slope made of thin, whitish granite, which gives it its name, Monte Bianco. Jean-Charles Abbatucci's grand cru-level Sciaccarellu is sophisticated and graceful, and it expresses the most luxurious side of Corsican grape. It has an opulent bouquet of wild berries, roses, maquis, and purple fruits.
