In 1979, Erich Weber acquired a section of the west-facing Euchariusberg vineyard. This highly prized site is composed of gray slate and quartz, and is regarded as one of the highest quality vineyards in the Mosel. Today, Erich is joined by his son Johannes, and this father and son duo has truly unlocked the magic in these Saar valley hills. They farm with the outmost respect for the land, never using herbicides and keeping the yields low. Crisp, fresh, with cool but intense tropical fruit on the nose, and just a touch of sweetness to ensure the ripping acidity is tempered. An exceptionally age-worthy Riesling.
