Clos Canarelli Corse Figari Rosé, France 2022

Clos Canarelli Corse Figari Rosé, France 2022
Yves Canarelli's dedication to restoring native Corsican grape varieties has been instrumental in the recognition of Corsican wines. As a former economics student turned enologist, Yves took over his family's vineyard in 1993 and has been a strong advocate for the cause ever since. The Corse Figari appellation has a rich history dating back to the 5th century B.C. Despite being the oldest wine-growing region in Corsica, it took pioneers like Yves to remove non-native grape varieties and ensure the recognition that Corsican wines deserved.
Yves rosé has structure and is full of depth. A rosé I consistently look forward to enjoying and aging. Think Bandol here. A lovely addition to a summer feast. All of the 2022s I tasted with Yves in the winter of 2023 were exceptional-a stellar vintage in Corsica. - Kimberly
