Saint-Damien's Gigondas reds are a Grenache-lover's dream, at a dreamy price for this level of quality. Old-vine Grenache with a touch of Mourvedre, raised after a long maceration and fermentation in concrete, followed by over a year aging in old foudre. Always released with a good bit of bottle age, the wine shows intense depth of fruit with concentrated aromatics of stewed plums and woodsy herbs, exhibiting the classic floral and savory elements famous of this southern French region.
