In 1989, with the purchase of the Pira Cru, the Roagna family of Barbaresco could finally bring their expertise to Barolo. Pira, in Castiglione Falletto Barolo, is a monopole vineyard solely owned by the Roagna family. Luca Roagna, fifth generation, produces breathtaking wines, even amongst some of the region's most challenging vintages. Pira is always the most finessed and harmonious of the Roagna lineup.
