Originally from Portugal, the Oliveira family have been farmers around Chablis since before the Second World War. They first grew grapes to supplement their other agricultural income and began producing wine in 1955. The Oliveira's now own some 48 hectares of vines, with some in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites in the northeast part of Chablis. 

Their basic Chablis sees no oak whatsoever, to ensure expression of the fossil-rich Kimmeridgian limestone soils. It delivers just what you want from Chablis at a fair price. Expect a crisp, mineral-driven profile with bright notes of green apple, citrus blossom, and a distinctive flinty finish.
